The Future of Ultrasonic Testing is Here!

Introducing Proceq's UT8000, a brand new vision for conventional ultrasonic testing in the digital age.  Instead of throwing touch controls on an old user interface, the UT8000 is a complete re-imagining of the ultrasonic set.

The unit itself is small and portable, with everything you need and connectivity options you didn't even realise you wanted. The user interface has been built from the ground up to minimise the learning curve and to maximise productivity, collaboration and traceability. That's right, traceability. Using a combination of ingenious features and Proceq's logbook, traceability is now attainable in ultrasonic testing. Each new scan has a logbook that captures serial numbers, settings, location, time, pictures, voice notes and written notes. No more sifting through field notes or relying on verbal information, it can all be attached to the data ready to be retrieved.

Looking for a second opinion? Press record during your scan and the UT8000 will make a memory of the data a few seconds either side of that point. That's real data that can be replayed, capturing the echo dynamics of your flaw. If submitted with the report, second-guessing can be eliminated and reports issued with complete confidence.

Time for a corrosion survey? Easy! Proceq's grid function lets you create a flexible grid. Each square is its own space for you to capture readings. That's not just a number, that's real data for cross-checking or making minor adjustments to avoid costly re-work. Set a grid 4-8 across and you'll also have your cardinal points covered for pipe or tank surveys. Some well-placed marks on the pipe and a photo in the logbook will reassure the client that testing was done exactly where it was required.

Be the first to take your ultrasonic testing into industry 4.0. Speak to your local PCTE representative today and organise your demonstration.

Product Feature: REL UV Lamps

Leeb

Ultra-Violet (UV) lights are integral to both magnetic particle inspection and dye penetrant inspection. They also find extensive use in other industries including geology, forensics and document control. UV lights are required to provide the energy necessary for suitable materials to fluoresce.

In non-destructive testing, UV lights must provide the correct wavelength and intensity of UV or critical flaws could be missed. Traditionally this was done using mercury vapour lamps and woods glass filters. These days LED technology has progressed to the point that it can reliably outperform old lamp technology while providing the added safety benefit of excluding harmful UVA & UVB wavelengths.

REL's UV lights are an example of what you can achieve with good design and powerful LED technology. These phenomenal UV lights are passively cooled (no fans) and built to last. Compliant to the latest ASTM E3022 and Rolls-Royce RRES 90061 standards you can also be confident that you're getting the right intensity, wavelength and beam profile for your inspection. With optional white light and flexible power options encompassing standard mains power and Milwaukee battery packs, REL is bound to have a UV solution to suit your testing needs. Leeb

REL also supplies the modular profusion booth lighting that can be combined to fit the shape and area you require. Designed with the same durability and passive cooling of the Nomad range you can take these anywhere and be sure that they wont let you down.
